Remove land buffer surrounding Decentraland in new client 2.0
Canessa Dcl
While testing the new client in Argentina I took a picture of a parcel (-80,-149) and commented how they were so close, yet so far away from the new ocean. After I returned, I found that that specific parcel does in fact border the map, but the ocean is still 2 parcels away from it. If you look closely at the two versions of the in-world map, you'll see that there is a "buffer" area of land surrounding the entire DCL map visible in the "satellite" mode. But if you switch to the "Parcels View", that buffer does not exist.
On the map on the marketplace it looks like parcels on the border of the map will be right next to the new ocean, when in reality, they are all going to be 2 parcels away from the ocean. Meaning, no one will be able to have "oceanfront property" in Decentraland as it remains right now.
The best option (in my opinion) is to remove or reduce the size of this land buffer so that land on the edge of the map borders the ocean. I fear that there will be significant disappointment for users excited for this new feature if "Oceanfront Property" is still two parcels away from the beach.
Thank you in advance for your time and attention!!! :)

The land buffer on the north side is too much, this needs to be reduced to match the west, south & east sides. On the north side there is an additional 10+ parcels before we hit the beaches shoreline. Please fix this discrepancy & make all the edge parcels flush with beach front.
The land buffer is disproportional, North & West do not align with east & south. What a terrible look

Hi Canessa Dcl!
When we created the new environment it was clear to us that it had to be compatible with both Genesis City and the Worlds to allow for the narrative of the islands and the archipelago.
This buffer between the ocean and the plots is there for several reasons:
- Worlds are usually small plots, and they need distance on their sides so that the content does not directly border the cliffs.
- The cliffs are the ones that contain the colliders that prevent people from falling into the sea, and right now they exceed the size of their geometry, so they enter the adjacent plot, breaking the nearby scenes.
- The environment is not yet finished, our intention is not only cliffs but there is a variety between cliffs, beaches, or trails that lead to them. This buffer gives us some distance right now so that we can be creative tomorrow without ruining the rights acquired by the border parcels.
I understand the concern and the added value this has for these parcels, but we are thinking a bit medium term so as not to commit right now, as we have had to invest a lot of time in other areas and would like to explore these avenues.

Thank you Alvaro, I appreciate the feedback and look forward to the changes to come :)

Alvaro Luque pilero What is the timeline on this fix since there is nothing else to be worked on?

Hiya! Any chance we could have an update on this? Thank you!
