Hello aaron leupp.
I',m sorry, but I read the proposal and I can't understand the exact request.
You can submit a collection of Wearables or Emotes in the Builder which will be minted as NFTs if you or any user makes a purchase (mint) in the Marketplace. On the other hand, if you have an NFT collection outside Decentraland and were approved by the DAO to make Linked Wearables, you can submit the Wearables through the Builder too, but these won't appear in the Marketplace.
Would you please share more details on how you picture the implementation and how it would look from a user point of view?
Thank you.

Nicolas - Product Lead @ Decentraland Foundation Thank you so much for checking it out! Yes it would look like this image attached. Would like to launch this and could be used as a beta to test the demand for this and could potentially be new revenue stream for Decentraland. As said in the proposal passed by the community do not mind repeating here long story short Blur.io marketplace came out and disrupted the NFT space by not enforcing the Royalties without the creators consent. ERC721-C NFT collections now fix that buy allowing a two side consent process for NFTs to be listed on a marketplace. Decentraland Marketplace can now be one of the first Marketplaces that agree to the royaltie consent of creators. Would like to test to see how well it does for Waifumon Gen-2. Then down the road mabye also releasing to the public all NFT collections can 1. Link into Decentraland as linked Wearables and also 2. Buy and sell off Decentraland marketplace.
Hope this helps. Let me know if anything more can share or do to get this process started. Thanks again!

aaron leupp: thank you for the clarification.
Looking at the design proposal you sent, I need to point out that the collection is on the same level as a category (like Wearables, or Emotes), which is not possible because of the information architecture we have, which is pretty standard.
Is that your request? or is it that the Marketplace should support ERC721-C NFT collections in general?
Thanks again!

Nicolas - Product Lead @ Decentraland Foundation Thanks For reaching back. Yes It is only going to be Waifumon Gen-2 category for now. We are taking small steps since we know you guys are busy. Down the road when we prove the demand it can evolve the category into "Linked Wearables" . Not ERC721-C NFT collections. Thank you.

aaron leupp: Having a section in the Marketplace so people can sell NFTs that are associated with Linked Wearables is a nice idea that could benefit all the Decentraland Ecosystem.
I will close this request as we can't put only one collection at a L1 Category Level, but if you like, you can create another request about selling NFT collections that are approved for Linked Wearables.

Nicolas - Product Lead @ Decentraland Foundation No, please continue via this ticket. 🎟️ I have requested this since 9/22/2023 was told there and did it 3 times via Decentraland DAO then told to do through support ticket on discord, then told on here via canny now being told separate thread via canny. After 6 months and 7 different method requests I feel like this is just another trick to delay the request. I think you can understand where I am coming from I am trying to be patient as can. I have been offered multiple times I can create of myself just give me access since I know you guys are busy and why you keep pushing me to request differnt methods with weekly vague delayed responses. Let me know what I can do to help. What can we do to launch this this week? It can be done however you like. Called Waifumon Gen-2 or called Linked wearables showing Waifumon Gen-2. What is the easier method for you. Thank you for understanding

aaron leupp I can open this again, but the problem is not time, we are capturing all the requests regardless of how challenging they are. My point here is that your request is not fair, why would your collection (or anyone's) be at the same level as an L1 category? As you can see in the Marketplace, we have "Wearables" as an L1, then "Head" "Upper body" "Handware" etc as L2 categories, and then you can find Creator's collections. Your proposal is to put Waifumon Gen-2 as an L1 category, which would be unfair to other projects that would also like to be highlighted in that position (L1).
What we can do, is write the specs (shape) to support ALL NFTs from Linked Wearables, so the L1 would be something like "Linked Wearables NFTs" and then, after entering that category, buyers can find ALL the NFTs from Linked Wearables from many collections, not only 1.
I hope you understand the point, but happy to keep discussing.
Regarding this comment: "What can we do to launch this this week?". As I explained in the past 4 All Hands, we have a development process of 8 weeks, no project can be executed from one week to another as specification, planning, and prioritization are required. All shaped initiatives (like the one I'm suggesting) will be subject to prioritization for the following Cycle.

Nicolas - Product Lead @ Decentraland Foundation Thank you for swift response! Yes I think there is some confusion here since we have same goal. Your goal of not just our collection Waifumon Gen-2 but all linked wearables in marketplace is our long term goal as well. In fact that is why we are trying to prove demand with Waifumon Gen-2 to do this. Main reason for just focusing on Waifumon Gen-2 one now is to make things less complex for you guys since we know you are all busy and will help with time. But second more meta reason is to be the solution that Blur.io caused to the NFT market as a whole. As stated in our proposal to sum up the situation best i can. People belive that NFT marketplaces like Blur.io listing NFT collections WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF THE CREATORS was the fall of NFTs. You can read more about it here https://decrypt.co/147427/did-blur-really-crash-nft-market or google "blur.io not enforcing royalties" or "blur.io fall of NFTs". So your alternative solution immediately listing all Linked NFTs or ERC721-C or ERC721 etc defeats the purpose of the entire situation as you can see. A perfect medium solution I will pitch you that is a win win will be do what the community voted for to list the Waifumon Gen-2 as we requested. Then next step we can do is create a submission process where creators can submit CONSENT to also be listed as well as well as their desired enforce royalties. Let me know if this works and thanks again!

Nicolas - Product Lead @ Decentraland Foundation Also yes great news is we can do it this cycle as stated. As I already mentioned in the forums and the discord ticked I am down to work for free to help with the workload since I know you guys are super buys. Down to help input the pet slots and put this on marketplace. Whatever is easier for you guys can 1. Send me login or make me account. 2. We can do a zoom session where we figure out live together. or 3. I down to fly out there as well and can do in the office if best for you. Def let me know whatever helps so we can get done this cycle. Thanks again!

aaron leupp "So your alternative solution immediately listing all Linked NFTs or ERC721-C or ERC721 etc defeats the purpose of the entire situation as you can see. "
Just to clarify, I ment as an opt-in from the collection owner. In other words, the owner should submit their collection in some way TBD, so it is always with the consent of the owners.

aaron leupp while deep diving into how this solution should work, I came across an important question.
See, the underlying NFT of a Linked Wearable belongs to someone, as these collections were already minted. So in order to be able to buy one of these NFTs from our Marketplace, the Owner should be willing to sell it for a price they define.
How do you picture this? the option that I'm thinking is to let owners of these NFTs to list them in our Marketplace manually and set the price they wish. Then other users can browse them and buy them through our Marketplace*. I'm not sure if that captures your idea.
* there is a remaining question: what happens after a sale? does the DAO get a fee? is that paid by the owner? any ideas for this?

aaron leupp
Nicolas - Product Lead @ Decentraland Foundation yes, as already laid out in the proposal Decetnraland Marketplace can charge an additional 2.5% fee just like opensea. or can charge an alternative fee to stay competitive. that you or the community can decide.
the most important part about the consent is that if is 1. if they only list collections through the consent of the creators and Decentralnad Marketplace and 2# they agree to charging the royalties the creators request.
For example as listed in the proposal Waifumon Gen-2 desired 10% royalty fee per transaction. Yes as long as Decentraland Marketplace enforces that 10% royalties per transaction they can not only charge the 2.5% additional marketplace transaction but have consent for NFT owners to buy and sell and resell the NFTs within that collection as many times as they want. This is to answer your question on "how I picture this." Yes let owners of the NFts list them on marketplace, manually set price as they wish, let users brows them buy them through marketplace etc as long consent is given by the owners of the collection and the desired royalty is enforced.
So yes in conclusion I am the creator of Waifumon Gen-2 so it is a perfect place for us to start because I not only am giving consent here but also can on the back end or our ERC721-C contract. Since with that contract I can also have our collection unlisted from Decentraland marketplace at anytime the marketplace does not enforce our desired 10% royaltie per transaction. Just like we did with Opensea. As said earlier at a later date we can create a method where NFT collection creators can submit consent and a request to have there NFT collection listed as well and logistics can be done via that method to learn desired royalties, who are the owners, legal logistics, decentralnd community demand etc or can also be done like we did with Waifumon Gen-2 the 3 voting rounds through the Decentraland DAO then can send the above info via here on canny etc. Open to all ideas too and this all can be figured out the cycle after next. Right now during this cycle we already have the consent of Waifumon Gen-2 so as said before we can use it as our beta to test the process and demand. Let me what more you need from my end to get started or if you would like to give me login info so I can implement it if you guys are to buy to do it this cycle. Thanks again!

Hope all has been well Nicolas - Product Lead @ Decentraland Foundation, any update on this? I was told this would not take much time and it has been 7 months and no updates. When can Decentraland start accepting ERC721-C collections to be listed ? Thank you!

aaron leupp Hi, hope you are well too.
This feature is in the backlog but the team is currently focused on releasing the new client, presented at the Community Summit in May. Please consider that this is not an easy or fast feature to implement at all, but as soon as we tackle it, I will let you know here. Thank you!
