Yeah, there needs to be an option to disable this or vary transparency. This would block a lot of events and people when in action. I think possibly chat boxes should/could be improved to have better effects and/or communications.

I would also love something like this a former virtual world in 2006 had something like this. There were different colors depending on if you had a mic, yelling, or just general chat. Also you could whisper to people that were in different areas.

In february 2023, we did an exercise witht he community to rank lots of social features. This was among them and there was no special interest on pushing it onwards. We can reconsider if we see a push up here :P. Its definetly something I would like to shape.

additionally, add a transparency slider, or to be able to disable it if users wanted, similar to nameplates.
